Hello there! I am Karla M. and I go by KLM, Kay, K$, and so much more. I live in San Diego (SD) for the last 22 years. I was born and raised in El Centro, CA , a small town east of San Diego. I grew up in a Mexican family as an only child, a very unusual thing, but in a very loving family. I came to SD for University and stayed here. I mean, who can complain about 70 degree weather and blue skies ALL the time. 😎 🌞
I am an avid coffee drinker, love to adventure the outdoors (even the indoors, hahaha) and learn all the things! 🤩
In the last 2 years, I got a puppy, a little maltipoo. I named her Penelope. 🐶❤️ She so brightened my home and life. As life hasn’t been an easy, so having her had made life a little less daunting.
Over 10 years ago, I went through a divorce which really opened my eyes and life to adventure and to create memories that I have learned so much from. From that moment on, I am open to explore and see this magical world of us and all its amazing things.
Almost 2 years ago, December 2018, there was a blip in the road and I got diagnoses with non-Hodgkin follicular lymphoma. A blood cancer that affects my lymph nodes. It was caught super early, which I am very grateful to my health system, but something I have to endure. Currently, I am not on treatment as I have not had any symptoms or nodes turning into tumors. I pray every day that it remains this way for many years to come. I am surrounded by amazing people that make sure to remind me that I have so much more to live.
With all these eye opening experiences, I realized that I needed and wanted more in my life. The idea of creating a blog was very intriguing and an awesome way to share my life.
I truly appreciate your time and support in coming onto my website and getting to know me a bit more. I will try my best to share my life and experiences at 100%! Thank you! 😘😘
